Our Trainings and Joint Activities (2026)
Welcome to the Izmir International Music Village 2026 educational programs and events.
Below you will find our training and joint events planned for 2026. Those wishing to apply should register for the training by clicking the "Apply Now" button next to their chosen training. In short, you must register for a training class. For example, a participant who applies through the "Kanun Masterclass with Göksel Baktagir" will be enrolled in this class and will work with the artist during the scheduled class hours throughout their participation.
Shared activities include collaborative work sessions where all classes/participants come together. Below, you can review our sample weekly work plan to understand which " activities" you will be involved in besides the "trainings" .
*Types of Training:
Specialized training refers to the main training you will receive throughout your organization's activities.
Joint activities refer to workshops, seminars, concerts, etc., that you can attend outside of your regular training hours.

1; Beginner - 2; Lower Intermediate
3; Intermediate - 4; Upper Intermediate - 5; Advanced
Kanun Masterclass with Göksel Baktagir:
The competition is looking for participants who play the kanun at an intermediate to advanced level.
Type of Training: Branch-specific training

Singing Workshop with Çiğdem Gürdal:
With content suitable for all levels, from beginner to senior, it awaits participants who want to work on voice usage, emotion expression, and stage performance.

Workshop on Taksim and Geçki in Turkish Music with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevahir Korhan Işıldak:
We are looking for participants who can play any Turkish musical instrument at an intermediate level.

Makam Music Choir Workshop:
Participation in the workshop, which will be coordinated by Güvenç Birer, is open to everyone who has participated in other workshops and masterclass programs at the music village.

Seminar Hours:
At certain times of the day, the Izmir International Music Village 2026, in line with its theme of "Roots and Future," plans to hold talks and seminars. These events are open to all participants.

Concert Schedule & Closing Concert:
At certain times of the day, in the unique atmosphere of Bademler Art Village, several concerts are planned featuring various artists, primarily the participating artists and instructors. Additionally, all participants who are able and wish to attend the closing concert on the last day are welcome. These events are open to all participants.

Accomodation
Izmir International Music Village is preparing to welcome its participants in 2026 at Bademler Art Village, where art and nature intertwine. At this special gathering, participants coming from outside Izmir can, if they wish, benefit from the limited on-site accommodation options offered by Bademler Art Village. With its “guesthouse” system, they can stay right at the heart of the event—at the center of creativity and production. The houses provided at Bademler Art Village consist of two bedrooms and one living room. The bedrooms offer double-bed options, allowing two people to stay in each room, while one participant can sleep individually in the living room. In total, each house can accommodate up to five people.
Guests who prefer not to stay on-site can explore the unique accommodation alternatives offered by the Urla Peninsula, enjoying the freedom to choose according to their own preferences and experience different atmospheres of the region. You may choose charming boutique hotels set in Urla’s beautiful stone houses, or stay in the historic, picturesque boutique hotels located within the walls of Sığacık—the coastal town of Seferihisar, Turkey’s first “Cittaslow,” known for its appearance in numerous films and TV series. Alternatively, you can opt for the all-inclusive five-star hotels and holiday resorts in the Sığacık area. For our guests living in Izmir, we are happy to host you daily.
Thanks to its close proximity to a metropolitan city, Izmir International Music Village also offers participants not only from Izmir but from surrounding cities the convenience of attending on a daily basis, commuting from their homes.
This way, participants can immerse themselves in music, art, and creative production during the day, and in the evenings, enjoy the sea, nature, and the unique rhythm of the Aegean lifestyle—or simply return to their homes. Izmir International Music Village is not only a space for education and creation, but also an inspiring life experience where participants can choose their own rhythm freely.
