🎶 Workshop: "Modal Music Arrangement and Performance"
In this workshop, we will learn how to play small pieces of music and how to arrange them for performance. If you like playing with friends or an audience, you will find some useful tools in this seminar. We will make excursions into rhythmic playing, makam modes, dynamics, technology and taksim according to the group. The musical selections are of Turkish/Greek/Armenian origin. The seminar is open to all instruments and voices.

Who is David Niedermayer?
He is a musician and composer from Bremen. His instrument is the oud, which is considered the queen of oriental instruments. He received his diploma from the Bremen University of Arts in 2011 and was awarded the Sparkassenstiftung Bremerhaven in 2013. He participated in masterclasses with Murat Aydemir, Yurdal Tokcan, Necati Çelik and Ahmet Al Khatib. Most recently, in 2021, his music was supported by a scholarship from the Bremen Senator for Culture and the German Orchestra Association.
